The 9th International Conference on Geosynthetics of the IGS (9ICG), the primary international geosynthetics event, held every four years, will be held for the first time in the Southern Hemisphere from 23 to 27 May 2010 in the city of Guarujá, which is about 90 km from São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil.
9ICG will bring together designers, consultants, geotechnical and environmental engineers, manufacturers, distributors, researchers, company owners, environmental agencies, contractors, teachers and students who work in the area of geosynthetics, geotechnical, civil and environmental engineering. The conference will provide an excellent opportunity to share experiences and knowledge regarding key issues related to geosynthetics and affiliated technologies. Forums for information exchange and networking will include presentations and technical discussions, lectures on relevant topics, short courses and parallel exhibitions.
9ICG wil provide an opportunity to learn about and discuss highly technical and scientific issues and their solutions. A primary objective of the conference is to present the community the most recent developments, improvements and new technologies from the international geosynthetics community.
